Bypass the sensor, and learn to drive your Z. If you ever upgrade to a boost controller then safety boost wont do much anymore anyway (slight timing retard). So learn to drive the car right and what your limits are and disable that detonation sensor until you can put it back in the stock location (or not). I did the resistor trick till I replaced my faulty one and worked like a champ. I have my replacment in the stock location just as Nissan intended and have no issues. Now I run a boost controller and safety boost is a distant memory. I feel the relocation is a bad idea and can cause false alarms due to other engine noise. Buy a boost controller, bypass the sensor, learn what detonation sounds like, and drive your Z.
